One thing we discovered on this trip is that we headed north from the gulf a little too soon, the leaves have not started coming in at most places we’ve been. We took the Jeep on a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and it’s definitely a place to go in the late spring or to see fall colors. Not that this wasn’t a scenic drive, but I’ve been in North Carolina before and know just how green this trip would have been. The trees were still asleep and they certainly weren’t blocking our view of the mountain ranges.
